I inherited a very good friends home and all of his investments/savings. He never married or had children but has siblings. He stated in a will just before his death that he didn't want them to get anything of his. We live in southern CA. What kind of lawyer would be the best for me to get to help me sort things out? Would a tax accountant be best or would an estate lawyer be best or is there some other specialty lawyer that I should get?

Before I know what kind of lawyer you need, I need to know what kind of trouble you're having. Inheriting a lot of money isn't trouble.

If the family is fighting your inheritance, I'd hire an estate attorney.

Estate attorney would be best for this situation. Who is probating the will? Who is the Executor?
