Wages attributed to another state that you don't live in
What do I enter for the area Enter the portion of the total wages attributed to New Jersey. See I lived in NY all year long, and worked in NJ all year long. Should I enter zero in this box, or the total amount of my wages for the year

You will report your total income to both the states.

If you are present in a state, then any income earned during this period, must be reported to the state. This is true for NJ.

To your resident state, you must report your worldwide income for the year. This is for NY. You will also claim credit for taxes paid to NJ.
