My fiancé is trying to file for a name change(logn story) but didn't do it in her divorce decree. Her mother told her about a company called "We the people" has anyone ever used them before? What exactly do they do? Any help would be very insightful, thank you!

My experience with the company is that they help people fill out legal documents. They cannot - in NYS - give legal advice. Therefore, they do for you what you can do for yourself, possibly charging more than if you, in fact, did it yourself!

I don't have a high regard for them. I think the money is better spent on a reasonable but efficient and competent Attorney who makes sure the "i's" are dotted and the "t's" are crossed.

Companies will charge you to help fill a form out, and give it back to you for you to file.
