Nope, stop talking to the ex and start talking to an attorney.
He will have to pay a set amount for chldren under 18 for sure, and in some US states for children older while in college.
He may also have to pay you alimony support for a number of years depending on the wage difference.
Child support often runs to about 15 to 18 percent of his pay.
He may also have to pay the medical insurance on them, plus 1/2 of all of the other medical bills.
