My g4 laptop has been super slow the color wheel comes up often, always how can I clean up so it doesn't mean waiting every time I hit enter

When does the wheel show up? Which programs?

In the meantime, use a program like Cocktail or Onyx and run their maintenance scripts. It will do things like clear your caches and repair permissions. You should see improvement quickly.

my laptop is just slow in general to pull up anything just to open Google the wheel comes on , I have picture files I downloaded that I want to delete only don't know how,can u help?

Thi is a good place to start uou may try the First Aid under disk Utilites or use one of the Mac utilites that boots fro a CD ROM or External drive because they can access and repair files that are locked by your computer when booting from the primary boot disk (your ahard drive)

Clean all your history lists and delete videogames.
