    Life insurance and bankruptcy
If you receive life insurance left to you and you filed bankruptcy and you are within the 180 days, can they take the life insurance money from you, and if so, all of it. It is not in the will about any life insurance money.

If you are the listed beneficiary, you are not listed in the will, life insruance if done properly does not go though the will.

You are to report to the court any large changes so, yes you have to notify the court about the money you receive.

Will they take all the money, can I try and keep some of it or all of it. I already reported it. Just trying to keep something since this is all I am getting from my father.
