Ok, so today I went to the movies with my friend (girl) and her friend (boy) and so we were all sitting down and she was in the middle... anyway, the boy said "wanna go next weekend to see a movie?" and my friend said she was busy so he was like "oh than it'll just be me and you." afterwards he asked me to remind him cause he might forget.

Does that mean it was an askout..

Kind of sounds like he wants to ask you but is testing the water, like if you remind him then you obviously want to be there too, if not he'll think he has no hope.
