Dishwasher runs immediately w/o filling first
I have a maytag dishwasher about 10 years old, when I turn cycle on the machine starts running instead of filling up first, any thoughts? Thanks

Check the float shut off in the inside of the unit. If the switch is stuck it possibly do that. If not it could be the timer or defective fill valve.

Thanks for the quick response hvac, I should have noted that I changed the float switch(being cheapest possible fix). Just seemed odd to me that machine would operate as if it had water at the time it should be filling up.

I also feel that is strange also BUT that is the situation. Your going to have to take a electric meter and check/test components.
