moveing to another state when you have joint custudy
what do I have to do you change a parenting plan that we both agreed to? We have a parenting plan saying that we have joint custudy of our daughter who is 2 years old the only reason I agreed to the parenting plan is because I didn't have a lawyer so I thought I had to. I have recently found my real father who has been trying to help me with this mess. I no longer want to live in the state in living in ( new hampshire) because now that there is no longer an order of protection out agienst my x I'm afraid of what he might do if he gets me alone... I left because of my x beating me up... I would like to move to be closer to my family in ( new Jersey) what steps do I have to take to make that happen?

    1. let him have custody of the child and you are free to move
    2. prove to the court he is a threat and danger to the child, to such a point that he should not have visits with the child. ** very hard and he is still likely to get supervised visit
    3. work out a deal with him that you will prove longer visits in summer, longer holiday visits and you will pay for all transportation of child perhaps

But if the father is using his time and is visiting, there is really nothing you can do, and he can force you to stay or give him the child.

And of course he is the father and has rights to see the child
