    Saying no to friend's son
    Hi everyone...
I'm 22 and live in a small town, where one of my friends ("lisa") is trying to set me up with her son. I met her at the local bar and like her a lot... we get along really well. But lately she always invites me to the bar when she knows her son will be there in hopes we'll hit it off. He's a nice enough boy but really not my type (he likes guns and hunting... I'm a vegetarian and work at a co-op). I don't know how/if to tell them both that I'm not interested in dating him without offending him and losing her as a friend.

    Any advice? Thanks!

Just politely say no, and recognize your friend is a matchmaker, and wants grandkids.

Enough polite resistance is all you should need, and be aware of bar friends in the first place.
