    Gezzy
    Green hair
I have been dying my hair for a few years now from brown to blonde, but I got sick of dark routes showing through and I am getting older so I decided to go back to my own colour, I picked a brown hair dye, and thinking I knew it all I didn't really look at the box, just the colour, my hair is now green in places, when I looked at the box the dye was from a vey dark to a lighter brown hair, I cannot afford to go to a professional, is there anything I can do and what colour dye do you think would help, thank you

Lol, I did the same thing!! I freaked out and called my friend ( who works with hair) all you need to do is get a red/aurban dye, one that only last 4-6 washs, or close to that long, put it in and leave for 25-30 min. your hair will have a very slight hint of red for a few days-till a week but the red gets rid of the green straight away . Always remember that if going from light to dark do a red before or after :)

When going from light to dark, you need to pre pigment the hair to avoid a green tinge. So lets says you were going from blonde to brown, you would first apply a red semi/temporary colour to the hair, you dry it in with a hairdryer, then you apply the brown colour on top and leave it on till the development time is up.

So anyway, to get rid of the green, get a temporary red colour, apply it to the hair for about ten minutes and then rinse off. This will neutralise the green. Good luck!

Yeap go with something redish that's greens "complimentary color " meaning it counteracts the greenish tint :-)
