    Lost Wedding ring
I am sure I saw my ring on my nightstand but when I woke up I couldn't find it anywhere... have looked non stop to find it, with no luck. I am going to search trash now. Any ideas, suggestions, or anything?

Do you have any pets that would have knocked it off or anything?

No, but I do have children. I have looked in every nook and cranny in my room. My daughter (only one who can talk) tells me she did nothing with it, however she did suggest perhaps the wind blew it - she is only 3. thanks for your response.

I'm guessing you checked under the bed, under the night stand, any register vents nearby?

Multiple times... although, not sure what register vents are. I have checked the central vacuum connection - they are always putting toys in there. I have looked under/in/around/near/on everything I can think of. Thought about the chance that my 11 mo. Old swallowed it - but it's kind of big, so I don't think he could have and also don't think he would have. I gave him another ring tonight to see what he would do with it and he wasn't interested in all... he dropped it both times he had it in his hands and didn't even look for it once he dropped it.

Sorry to hear your wedding ring has gone missing. That would be very unsettling.

Unfortunately, there's every chance one of your children took a fleeting fancy to the gold band on your dresser and it could be anywhere. We lost a credit card once while my daughter was still a toddler and found it years later inside one of the books on the shelf. We asked our daughter at the time if she had any idea what happened to it, and of course, she had no idea what we were talking about. But kids do some funny things and are into everything, plus their memory is so short-term and vague, even they can't remember what they've done. If you have two toddlers around and they see something as interesting as a ring, they're likely to have picked it up.

Keep looking in unlikely places, and hopefully it will show up. Our vacuum cleaner had a jelly toy stuck inside the hose once... it was a perfect fit to completely block the hose.

I love your daughter's suggestion 'the wind blew it'. Lol

Thank you, kindly, all of you. As it turned out, my ring was where I had been looking the entire time - between my bed frame and box spring, however, this time I thought to actually lift the box spring instead of just feeling and using a flashlight and low and behold there it was! I was thrilled. And, quite happy that I didn't have to take apart the sink and go through that smelly old bag of trash. Lesson here, keep my ring on or in the jewelry box... and as I type, it is neither. :o

Geez, that would have hurt... wish we could help you... if it doesn't turn up again soon, maybe you and your husband could renew your vows.. with a new wedding ring..
