    Harbor Breeze fan problem
My H.B. fan is controlled by remote. The fan itself is still working by remote, BUT the light will not turn off or dim by remote! (That is the only control.) When you try to dim it, you do see the numbers go down on the remote itself, but nothing happens. Where do I go? What do I do? I don't know anything about installing fan or electrical stuff... It's really hard to sleep w/ that bright light on all night.

Did the light work at one time? If so, it is presumably a problem with the remote receiver. If I never worked it is possible it was wired incorrectly.

If the receiver needs to be replaced, you can contact Hampton Bay, or take the fan back to Home Depot for a warranty replacement.

Also, does the fan have pullchains?

Oh yeah, it's worked until about 2 days ago. No pullchain, only the remote. When I bring up Harbor Breeze online, it says it's only available at Lowe's. But, if I got a new remote receiver, who do I get to install that? Do you know about how much that goes for? THANK YOU!

You'd have to install it yourself. Not the simpliest task. How long ago did you buy the fan, can you return it?
