How to make a septic system in land with high water table
Hi my name is Nick, I want to put in a septic tank /sewer system on an acer of land that is beach front property ,I hit water 2 feet down, the soil is sandy.
#1 I plan on making an eco camp ground with about 15 tent sites,do I make one central toilet/shower area with about 3 toilets/showers for men and 3 toilet/showers for women or separate single toilet/showers spread out over the property
#2 Can I use a fiberglass septic tank or do I have to make a concrete one
#3how do I do this? How big?

Perhaps a Hoot Septic System,(see image) is what you need. Check it out at.

Good luck and thank you for rating my answer. Tom

Can you tell us where you are located? Beach front land is almost certainly governed by some agency or building department and they will have strict codes in most locales. I do not think your soil would pass a perc test and is likely not capable of handling a septic system. Please tell us more.

Hi ,thanks for your help, the land is located on little corn island off the east coast of Nicaragua, the water table is only about 2 feet down and I need to be careful not to contaminate the aquifer on the edge of my 3 acer property, some suggest a dry toilet system

Sorry Hack, this is out of my league. I was picturing a little campground on a lake in Wisconsin or something similar. Maybe some other expert can help, I know nothing about ocean front property in a foreign country, sorry.

A Hoot System treats the liquid before discharging it. A dry toilet system does not address gray water. Cheers, Tom
