    Proverbs 10:22
If you pulled out and thinned your own thick and lovely hair through weaving and then the Lord told you this Scripture, what do you think He means?

    Thanks

Pretty simple really, Here God is telling us that our riches are not here on this earth but in Heaven Doing Gods work is the true blessing that has any meaning to our lives and souls.

The blessing of the LORD that makes one rich may not be money. In fact, often the LORD blesses in ways that cannot be seen by others. He chooses to bless with His presence, by shaping character, and by removing those defects which hinder our walk with Him. These blessings do not bring sorrow, but joy.

"22. The blessing of Yahweh is what brings riches,
to this, hard toil has nothing to add."
Very good answer so far but there is another thought that can be offered.
If God's calling has given you a good job with good pay hard toil at something else adds nothing and can actually take away from the calling.

I would say the spirit of the Psalm is rather clear, provided, we do not stick to an earthly analysis.
The wealth our LORD promises us has nothing to do –in my humble opinion- neither with riches nor with any material possessions we could enjoy while down here.
The wealth the Psalm refers to, is the wealth that we have if we ‘d be able to contemplate our Lord forever. In addition, this vision would certainly bring us no trouble at all; on the contrary, it may only bring us perfect happiness!

    gromitt82,
    That is well worth pondering.
