Names of companies whose batteries would fit into my cordless 2 telephone system
I would like to obtain information, on names of battery manufacturers who would have batteries that would fit into my cordless telephones: GE, 2.4 Ghz, 2 handsets system, with caller ID, model # TC27831EE2-B. This is what is written on the original battery that came with these GE telephones: Nickel Cadmium, D-AA600Bx3, 3.6V, 600mAh, 5-2459. THE BYD COMPANY LIMITED,0634, Thomson Inc.
I DO NOT wish to purchase a battery made by THIS COMPANY (the original battery which came with these 2 handset cordless telephones). Can anyone tell me if I could find any other companies who might make a battery that would be adaptable for me to purchase to fit into these telephones? Would they have any of the same numbers? :eek:Thank you!!

Try Radio Shack or one of the links posted by Google below your post. Can you tell us why you want to avoid this particular company, they likely don't make their own batteries.

Thank you for your reply, but this does not answer my question.

Voilet you seems to not undrstand how this site works. I am trying to help you find your answer but you are dinging me with a bad rating because I did not do all of your homework. Plus I asked you a question which you left unanswered. There is not one piece or "inaccurate" information in my answer but that's what you just checked off. How many others do you think will want to jump in at this point and try to help further. Do you understand that many battery manufacturers do not sell to the public and slap a "brand name" label onto their product for resale? Stick a fork in me because I'm done!

Guess I'll have to risk getting a reddie.

Nickel Cadmium, 3.6V, 600mAh. This is what's important. The 600 mAh can be larger. 3.6 volts usually means that this is three 1.2V batteries typlically in series.

Cordless batteries typically don't come in holders of any kind. They have three batteries in series and a connector. The connector and polarity is critical although the polarity is mostly the same. I will assume they are three AA sized batteries. Ni-CAD's are just slighty smaller than an AA battery. And I mean slightly.

Although this link has just the packs. These will PROBABLY fit, but the link to the catalog page is wrong. I reported it.

    Digi-Key - SY114-F031-ND (Sanyo Energy - N-700AACF3)

They don't contain the connectors, so the existing connector has to be soldered and covered wirhheat shrink tubing.

Ni-CAD batteries like to be discharged completely once and a while, otherwise they develop a memory effect. That will create the longest life.

I asked the website to correct the link. They are responsive and I've ordered packs and other stuff from them before.

An easier way is to purchase any pack that has a connector with the right specs 3.6V NiCAD and has the right dimensions. And just solder and put some heat shrink over the wires. That works too. Red is + and black is -.

Your at the mercy of the manufacturer or aftermarket manufacturer because of the case/shell etc. It's a lucrative business.

Thank you for your reply. I do understand how this site works. I did not rate you badly because you believe that I do not wish to do my homework... I will attempt to explain that I am feeling overwhelmed and do not understand this information when I have spent time doing homework, and googling this subject... and so, this is why I have posted this question.
Of course I can go to Radio Shack, but as you do not know anything about me or my life, but if you must know... my circumstances... I am UNABLE to - as I am very ill. This is why I am trying to find another company that has these battery packs so that I can give this information to someone who can help me by physically going to a store to purchase them for me. I do NOT wish to offend you. You must be a very nice person. I am just posting a question because I am without knowledge and that is why... not because I wish to have others do homework for me... I feel that you are attacking me, without knowing why I have posted what I thought was just an innocent question! Isn't that why people like me, who are not as knowledgeable in these subjects as others, are ALLOWED to post a question such as this?
My question is not which store can I go to where I can purchase batteries for my telephone - my question is related to knowing/understanding if there are indeed other companies besides the one that I have named, that has the same batteries... I am not sure if anyone will really understand my question... because I received another answer from another nice person who gave me some information... but I still am unable to do this (soldering etc.)... oh well... perhaps I will think of a way to reword my question.
All that I want is a competitor's name of a battery pack that would fit into this GE phone.
I am boycotting Thomson, for personal reasons (you asked why)...
I hope that you now understand that I am not wishing to offend you, if I have rated you as inaccurate... it is my opinion, and please do not take it negatively. I thank you for your time though! ;)

    Here is an online link:

    GE/Sanyo Cordless Phone Batteries - BatteryMart.com

I know Staples and Radio Shack has battery packs. What I'd suggest is to take an old pack, look for one similar and see if the model is on the back.

Thank you for your reply... yes, I know that there are stores that have battery packs, but what I am asking is where I can find out the names of battery packs made by another manufacturer that would fit into the GE handsets that I have. And the reason that I am asking this specific question is because I cannot go out to a store, physically, otherwise I would not post this question and I would then just go. I need this information because I am stuck and I have tried to find it on Google but as this type of information:confused: is foreign to me, I am overwhelmed and do not know how to find it... again, this is why I am posting this question... I need to have the information (hopefully, if someone can:) answer my question), and then I will be able to obtain some help from a person that could go and pick it up at a store. Thanks anyway.

    I'll also take a chance,
Try this for one of them:
Telepower OEM Batteries Everything Else 3.6 Volt NiCad Cordless Phone Battery
Ballenger didn't deserve the red, You don't HAVE to give them, many times there is a missunderstanding in what is written, or read wrong.
