    Pregnant Spouse(Wife) on L2 Visa
    Hi Experts,

I want help and guidance on this!

I have just entered the USA on a L1 visa.

I have a family- Wife & Daughter(4 years). My Wife has just announced me about her pregnancy(2 weeks back). She is 3 weeks pregnant and would be due in August or Sept '09. She would be applying for her L2 visa very soon.

    Questions:-

    1) Would she face any difficulty procuring the L2 (L1 dependent) visa?
    2) Would she be able to travel on L2 visa by March'09 or April'09?
    2) Uptill Maximum what period can she undertake air-travel?

Prompt help would be highly appreciated!

    Thanking you all in advance.

    Regards

She can submit the application asap... there should not be any problem since you have been married for quite sometimes and you 4 yrs old daughter is a strong evidence.

Timing is another story as I can't tell you how long the wait list at US consulate in your home country is. Woman with less than 6 months pregnancy can travel by plane, no problem, but in case of 6 months and over, she will need a reference from her doctor and must inform the airline at the time booking is made.

    Congratulations!

+1. shouldn't be any problem getting the L-2 visa issued, schedule the visa appointment now. Check with her doctor on when it would be medically unadvisable for international (air) travel. Child born in the US will be a USC (with an exception for certain visa holders--generally diplomats, etc.) good luck, and congratulations! :)
