My divorce was just finalized. Both of the vehicles were in my ex husband name. I was awarded his car and he took my truck. After the finalizing of the divorce I called the bank to set the payments up automatically from ym checking account. They informed me of two things; one, I am no where on the account and two, that the vehicle was almost three months behind! I told my ex husband that he can have his car back and I will make do for right now. He then told me "Your stuck with the car B^%&, get over it!" I refuse to refinance a vehicle that is so far behind. Not to meantion I have already paid off all of our mutual loans by myself. Do I have to keep the car?

After the finalizing of the divorce I called the bank to set the payments up automatically from my checking account. They informed me of two things; one, I am no where on the account so I need his permission to do anything and two, that the vehicle was almost three months behind (I had no idea)! I told my ex husband that he can have his car back and I will make do for right now. He then told me "Your stuck with the car B^%&, get over it!" I refuse to refinance a vehicle that is so far behind... my credit isn't that great either. Not to meantion I have already paid off all of our mutual loans by myself. Do I have to keep the car?
I am just worried. I have never been in trouble and don't want to start now.
