    Anyone with a quick explanation of the required use of tamper proof recepts per 2009 NEC?

    406.11 Tamper-Resistant Receptacles in Dwelling Units.
    In all areas specified in 210.52, all 125-volt, 15- and 20-ampere receptacles shall be listed tamper-resistant receptacles.

    I should mention the required receptacles are pretty much all 120v 15 & 20 amp receptacles in the house. There are few exceptions.
