I have a 3-way Mini Dome table Touch Lamp that was given to me as a gift not too long ago. The lamp goes on by itself. EXAMPLES: The fist time it went on as soon as I walked into my room. (It is on my nightstand by my bed) so I turned it off. Other times after that it is on already when I go to the room. I specifically had turned it off in the morning. A few times it goes on twice a day. But it has never turned on at night when we are asleep. Is it possible the touch light is defective?

I had one that was so sensitive that if you blew hard on it it would turn on.I am no electrician but I did have the same problem. Someone told me to put a cloth underneath to stop vibration and that fixed the problem.
