    Pregunta
    Crazy Keyboard
I bought a new computer in a Spanish speaking country and it seems to have been pre configured in Spanish. However during the initial set up when given a language option I chose English. Now only a few of the punctuation keys produce the image on the key. The salesman told me changing to English changed the keyboard so for example to produce @ I have to press the arrow for upper case and the number 2. Except for comma and period no other puntuation maks work as expected. How can I fix this and if the answer is return to the prefigured settins how do I do that. Note absence of question mark following that last sentence or parentheseis for this one.

    Hi,

What OS are you using on your new computer?

If you want to use the computer like an English country, then replacing the keyboard seems like the most complete solution. The keyboard can be switched back, but that's a stopgap measure since you clearly wanted the English standard.

Whichever standard is employed, buy that keyboard... $15 solution

I am using windows vista. Well I like being able to use Spanish accents etc. because I have to write in both languages. Is there not a way to return to the original configuration?

Go to Control Panel (Classic View) / Regional and Language Options, select the "Keyboards and Languages" Tab, click change Keyboards. Click Add to select what Language(s) you want and then under "Advanced Key Settings" you can choose what Hot Keys you want to use to switch between the languages you have chosen.
