Does the landlord suppose to tell the tenant before moving in, if somebody died in the place. I live in Apartments in Salem, OR.
I can't even sleep in the room, I start getting running noses, and start coughing.
The maintenance person said they were selling meth from this place.
Who knows may be they had a meth lab in the room, and I am getting sick, I have a friend here as well getting sick.
The walls looks painted, but the ceiling is not so painted..
How does one tell if I am living in a contaminated place, and does the land lord suppose to tell you their was a lab going on?
I told this land lord about the deposit from the other place in Denver, Co, She said if they don't return my deposit with in 30 days, I can sue them for 3X the deposit?:eek::confused::(:eek:

1. They are not required to tell you that someone died in a room or house

2. they are required to proper clean up any body fluids or waste according to very strict standards

3. if there was meth produced in the room and it was known, there is very detailed clean up required of the property owner.
