    Judgment fulfilled?

In November 2008, I was served a summons that I was being sued by Public Service Credit Union for a charged off loan that I had trouble paying off. I called the law firm to where the account was charged off to make payment arrangements. I missed a payment by mistake and once a payment is missed, the contract becomes null and void meaning the agreement is no longer negotiable. I did settle on the account before court to avoid a garnishment of my paychecks. A court Judgement was still entered against me because even though I had made payment arrangements the debt was still unpaid and once suit is filed it cannot be stopped. Once the debt is paid off I am assuming the judgment is fulfilled

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

A suit can be stopped, once filed. However, because you renenged once on your payment agreement, the plaintiff, probably felt they should obtain the judgement in case you renenge again.

When the debt is paid, ask the plaintiff for a letter stating this. They should also report to the court that the judgement has been satisifed.

    Hello e:

Your first statement is not true, but it's not surprising that you were told that. Who said it? The opposition lawyer??

I would make the same assumption as you... However, pull your credit reports and see if what you assume to be true, IS true.
