Adding sink to existing basement rough in
I want to add a sink and dishwasher for a wet bar, to my existing rough in for the bathroom. I plan to saw cut floor and tap into drain for vanity with a wye connector. The vanithy is already vented do I need to vent the wet bar sink also. The run is a straight shot to vanity 2" drain. Distance is about 9' away. See attached photos. Thanks for your help

    Hi

All sinks must have a vent that connect into other vents at least 6 inches above the flood level rim of the highest fixture on the floor... usually roughed in at 42-48" off finish floor. ALL SINKS

Never mind that the wet bar sink will be 9 feet away making it even more important to vent the sink. Here, code requires that a sink must have a vent within 4-5 feet of a ptrap serving that sink.

So, for good result and to keep to code add the vent. You won't regret it.

I am doing most of the work myself. Plumbing was done when I bought the house.
