    Still legal or not?
    Please help!!

    - In 1981 became permanent resident through my parents. I have never been in
    Any trouble with the law...
    - 1995 met my husband, had 3 children by 1999.
My husband had been in and out of jail, days, months and yrs at a time.
I stood by his side through all of this time. I applied for childcare so that I
Continue to work (I was the sole provider at the time) having my husband
Come in and out of our lives was really hard...
    - 2002 married my husband (US Citizen), giving the chance to man up... In which
    He eventually did, THANK GOD!!
-2004 I was arrested and convicted of felony welfare fraud(childcare)
I had failed to let CCRC(childcare resource center) know of the times that
My husband was back in the home. I'm on probation for 5 yrs (2010) I
Should off probation... unfortunately in that same yr my green card expired.
I have not worked since then, fearing that I will be deported, thinking that I
Can't work because my Social security card doesn't work since my green
    Card expired in April 2008.
It's now 2009 and still living in fear of deportation!

We have 4 boys now, ages: 12, 10, 9 & 2, all US Citizens, will I be deported?
I'm I legal through marriage? Can I reapply for my green card and start working
Again?? Please help... I made a terrible mistake... my husband feels terrible!
He has been paying back the restitution.

    Please help, THANK YOU

You obtained your green card through family member which means you don't have to depend on anyone but yourself. You must apply for renewal of your green card 90 days before expiration date. The fact that you're convicted may trigger removal order, but you may be fine if do it right. You do need a good immigration attorney to file a waiver with your renewal...
