hi to all...i want to know something important. a person that is born in germany, but now has croatian papers,lives in croatia and is 19 years old, is it possible to get a german passport? does anyone knows? please help me...what does he have to do? what papers are needed! anyone that knows soemthing can help! thank you very much all:)
If he's still a german citizen then he should be able to get a german passport.
He needs his birth certificate and he needs to go to the German consolat because they are now doing finger printing on their passports.
I'm a german citizen, it's not that easy to get a passport anymore.
He's probably now citizen of croatia, but he was born in germany and was citizen of germany. In this case what heppens? Thanks for your answer!:)
Also, his father is still signed in germany and he has some german papers, this could help maybe?
If he was born in Germany, then he should have German birth certificate, so claiming citizenship and obtaining German passport is not that difficult. The problem here is you said he has Croatian papers... how did he obtain legal status there? Need to find out what his current status in Croatia is... Germany does not recognize dual citizenship. If his parents have become naturalized, then it might be possible that he no longer posses German citizenship. Find this out first..Quote:
