Don't understand how to kick a tenant out.
I own a house and after I moved from it I decided I would get someone to rent to own it.. the thing is we drew up a contract just between us and he said that he would pay the property taxes while he was renting.
I recently found out that he has not made one of those payments and now the house is up for foreclosure.. needles to say I want him out.
Im just not sure how to do it? Do I just write him a notice and give him 30 days or what?
    Thanks

Eviction processes can be tricky depending on where you live... What state is the property in? Did the lease state in writing that the tenate would pay the property taxes on the property? Sometimes you can just send a quit letter and give him 30 days to vacate if he violated any written terms of the lease, but again, this varies by state. There are several resources online you can use to research this situation. Try googling "eviction procedures in <your state>" Of course you can also consult an attorney on this matter as well. Considering the property is in danger of sale because of non paid taxes, you need to find out how long you have before the house is sold and arrange to pay the taxes to stop the sale, then you can proceed to get him out. I'd say getting those taxes paid are a top priority for you right now. Best of luck.
