What deed is given when there is a mortgage on the property

It depends on your location. In some states there are Trust Deeds where the lender is the owner of the property until the mortgage is paid off. In other states the owner gets the deed in their own name and the lender just gets a mortgage. Tell us where you are and we can look it up.
