Sending a picture to an advertisers set format page
    Hello There
I know how to attach pics. To e-mail but trying to do the same to an online advertiser has me beat. I am quite new to computers and although I have done a short course it didn't cover this.

    Hi,

Can you tell me the website you are trying to upload pictures to? I'll take a look and provide you with a walk through if possible.

    Regards,

The site is Selling a MotorHome or Buying a MotorHome - Free MotorHome Ads, Sell Your MotorHome For FREE:  Home

I get as far as filling in the form and up to Add Picture , I then get 'My Pictures 'up with the camper picture ,I click 'Add' but nothing seems to happen ,unless I've now sent him loads of pics! God forbid.
    Thanks

    Rob

Often, as in the avatars for this site, you need to match certain file size and image height/width restrictions. Perhaps this is what's holding them back from appearing on the site. You can always contact them directly using the email on their Contact Us page.

The reddie (Disapprove comment) was actually used incorrectly as per the TOS here: https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/forum-...nes-24951.html
It subtracts from the reputation of the member.

    Hi There
As a brand new member I am unfamiliar with the protocol for this type of situation. I would most certainly not want devalue anyone's reputation. I responded in what I thought was a truthful and correct manner, if you are offended by that please accept my apologies.

    Hi GadgetBlogger
Did you receive my response with the website address? If you did a walk through would be much appreciated.

Hi there, I have just made and account at the site to test and try and work out your problem. Once you have filled in the form, do you click "add" or "Add pictures".

If you click on "add pictures" it will take you to another screen where can click on "browse". Find the picture you want to add (in "My Pictures" like you stated), click on it and click "open" This will take you back to the add pictures screen. You then need to click "add", and if it has been successful there will be a short pause while the picture uploads and then you should see the picture you have uploaded underneath the word "Thumbnail".
Now click on "Manage lisiting" at the top. You will see two options. "Preview listing" and "edit listing". If you have completed the form and inserted the picture (or think you have inserted the picture) try clicking on "preview listing". This will show you how your advert will look on the site. Your picture should be there on the left with the details on the right.

Another way you can check if your listing appears correctly is, once you are logged in, click on "my own listings" at the top of the page. This will then show you the listings you have added. I have one without an image and it just shows up with a picture of a camper van and the words "no image" at the bottom.

If you have accidentally added lots of listings, you can then delete the duplicates (if there are a few I suggest clicking on "check all" and then unchecking the one you want to keep, then click delete).

Sorry if this seems a bit jumbled, I was writing it while testing it. Let me know if you have any further problems. I am here to help!

The uploading of the file is where your computer sends it to the websites servers to use on their website with your advert. Once it has finished uploading, it should appear next to your advert. As long as you see a thumbnail once you have clicked "add" (after the image being uploaded) then your picture should be fine.

It might be worth checking that the picture has uploaded OK using the methods above (Another way you can check if your listing appears correctly is, once you are logged in, click on "my own listings" at the top of the page. This will then show you the listings you have added. I have one without an image and it just shows up with a picture of a camper van and the words "no image" at the bottom.)

If you have any more problems, please don't hesitate to ask.
