    Saliva smell
My boyfriends mouth always smells of saliva.
He doesn't have bad breath but I just can't stand the smell of saliva. It really bothers me.When I wake up in the morning I have to go take a quick shower because I'm smelling of his saliva. Is there anything I can do so I don't smell saliva or to reduce the smell of his saliva?

Think that's the one we call recurrent aspiration or drooling... its usually for children but happn to adult also. Try this site:

I am wondering if you are talking about "morning breath." If so, we all have it, we just can't really smell our own.

The smell could be at anytime, but after he sleeps and wakes up I can smell it all over his mouth. Its not his breath I'm referring to, that part is fine, but just the smell of saliva from the overnight pillow drooling. When he talks I notice that a little bit of saliva collects on both corners of his mouth. I guess over time, it gets stale and starts to stink. Not bad breath stench but old or stale saliva smell. I can't even stand my own saliva smell so I try not to lick my fingers or anything like that, lest saliva settles on my skin and dries up and then I can smell it. I guess because I know I don't like the smell of saliva, I can control my saliva, but his is totally different. After he brushes, he's fine, the saliva doesn't smell stale, but after a few hours, all I can smell on his face is saliva. Even if he's not talking. He doesn't have bad breath at all, I really don't know how to go about this because it seems like I'm being petty. I know he can't keep brushing every 3 hours but the issue is really beginning to get to me.
Is there something like a saliva smell neutralizer or something like that?
