    Clean-out cover needs teflon tape?
    Hi,
Do I need to put teflon tape on the threads of a cleanout cover, or will screwing it in good and tight prevent any water from coming out?

    Thank you!

    Hi...

Teflon tape or pipe dope is correct here. Without these thread sealants water will most likely get past the cleanout cover. Put 5-6 wraps of teflon tape and you should be all set.
