I have been trying to get pregnant for a long time, I have been married nearly eight years. I was very overweight and the doctors advised me to try and lose weight, they have checked my husband and everything is OK. I have been successful in losing weight and have lost over 3 stone in weight however I have found that my monthly cycle still is irregular and I have not conceived, I have lost this weight approximately 2 months ago. Please could you advise me if it will get better for me (monthly cycle) and will I be able to get pregnant? Thank you

Congrats on the weight loss! The weight issue may have been a sign of PCOS which can make getting pregnant more difficult. You may want to check back with your gp, letting them know that your cycles are still not regular. They may suggest giving it some more time, or they may decide to start some testing.
