How do I wire up a new condenser fan motor
The old condenser fan motor (EMERSON model # is K48HXFCN-3727,HP-1/8,v 208-230,rpm 1075with 3mfd 370vac dual capacitor) is making a noise. When I got a new one (EMERSON model#is K48HXTMG-4003 HP-1/8,v208-230,rpm1075 come with 5.0mfd 370vac capacitor). I am confused, I need help trying to do the wiring right for the capacitor and the motor? The unit outside called Comfort maker 10. I appreciate any suggestions.

Show me some pictures of the old and new motor and capacitor. And some pics of the unit, inside and out. I will try to help you, this should be fairly simple.

There is a wiring diagram on the new motor. I suggest you follow it exactly since the old motor might not be wired the same as the new.

Two of the leads will be for the 220/240 volt power supply that comes off the normally inactive side of the contactor for the init.

Two other wires go to the new capacitor.

There should also be a green wire and that will go to ground.

If the leads are not long enough you can always splice back into the old leads that are there once you make sure exactly where the old leads are going. Remember there is a wiring diagram that cme with or on the motor. They all have one from the factory. Abandon the old capacitor and if the old capacitor is part of a dual capacitor setup just unattach the capacitor wire that used to go to the old motor.

Add a jumper wire from the C on the old capacitor(red wire) to the white wire side of the new capacitor. Remove the brown wire from the old compacitor that came from the old motor(its not needed any more). Black from the old to black from the new. Make sure the rotation of the blade is right and Rock-N-Roll
