    Wood burning stove with blower
I recently bought a house that has a Black Bart wood burning stove and blower. It appears that the blower has a thermostat as it has a dial with temperature settings. I plugged in the blower to try it out just to see if the blower would work, but nothing happened. Do I need to start a fire in order to get the blower to turn on?

What are the settings on the dial... numbers, letters? Most blowers on those type of stoves use a snap switch to sense the heat of the stove to cycle it on and off.
