My Whirlpool Ultimate Care Heavy Duty Washer will not rinse or spin. It will wash and agitate fine. Model # is LSW9245E01

It's probably the safety switch lid switch thingy. They do go bad. My washer was not even 2 years old and that switch went. It's the lid switch that stops the washer from spinning when you open the lid and also stops the washer from spinning at all if the lid switch is bad - hence the safety thing. A pain to get to but easily changed out.

I just had exactly the same problem, with the same root cause.
I have not fixed it for good. I just pushed with a plastic (just to be safe) stick and it started working... I'll keep looking if it fails again, or if I decide to check it out... I'll post again any findings...
