How can I darken overly bleached white hair?
Help! I am a color specialist and can not reslove this problem!! I have a Jr. Stylist who completely bleached out and damaged a clients hair beyond belief. I tried toning it first but that didn't work. It still stayed WHITE. I tried filling next and it looked great at the shampoo bowl. After filling it to a copper/orange color I went to neutralize it with a blue viloet toner. Seemed to look good at the bowl. It completely rinsed out because the hair is so white and damaged her hair is not holding any color. The other owner and my salon manager are meeting me at the salon early morning to try and fix this girls hair. Any other suggestions? Her hair is short so cutting isn't really an option.

The only thing I can think of is to change the *type* of dye you're using. Most toners are oxidative dyes. Direct dyes might hold. I've been told that some Feria shades use direct dyes.
