    My air conditioner has a strong urine like smell, are there any suggestions for cleaning etc--have cleaned filters but to no good

    Could be someone is taking a leak in the floor register. I have smelled that before and it is nasty. If the smell is coming from the A/C coil itself you will have to gain access to the coil and then spray it down well with a FDA/EPA approved cleaner. Whatever you do not use scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner that some other posted mentioned. That stuff can make you sick. Most products labeled indoor A/C coil cleaners are safe to use and will not cause respiration problems. The cleaner can usually be found at a local HVAC shop but getting to the indoor coil may take some skill.

    Likewise, don't put urinal cakes in the condensate pan. No Ty-D-Bowl. Or Sani-Flush. :rolleyes: Any chance of a "wildlife" infiltration?
