My husband recently adopted my 10 year old daughter. The biological father voluntarily terminated his rights. For the last 10 years though I never got a dime of child support and he never saw my daughter. Can I still fight for back support for the years he did not have to pay even after the adoption is final?

Was there an order in place awarding you with support prior to your ex terminating his parental rights? If not, then I don't believe you can ask for child support any longer as your husband has legally agreed to be responsible for your child.

What did the agreement when he terminated his rights for adoption say.
Normally this will be spelled out in the court action.
