My Cat is neutered but is still spraying!
My 1 year old cat got neutered two weeks ago. For the first week it was heaven, no more fighting with his brother and no more spraying; until last night I caught him in the corner crouching like he was peeing and when I looked at my carpet there were 2 little red drops. 15 minutes later and he went back to the same corner, crouched and then left 2 more little red drops. Does anyone know what that is & why he is doing this even after he's been neutered?

The hormones are still in a male's system for several weeks after he is neutered, so it isn't unusual to find this sort of behavior only two weeks afte surgery.

That said, I am a little concerned that what you found are "red drops". He shouldn't still be bleeding, so this is worth a call to your vet. I would be worried that he may have re-opened the incision. As I say, your best bet is to call the vet and run this by someone there--it's probably worth a quick visit just to have the wound checked. As for the spraying, this doesn't sound like spraying to me, though it is possible that he still has that urge. (Also, some males still spray after being neutered, so if he checks out okay with the vet and this is still going on several weeks from now, you may have to correct it with training. But it's too soon right now.)
