My boyfriend is in the Navy right now and we have been together for a while now and are ready to get married. We do not want to do a big wedding right now because we don't really have the money for it. I am wondering if someone could help us out by telling me exactly what I need to do to go about getting married in a courthouse? Like what I need, what steps I need to take, how long it takes... things like that. And if we do this, this may sound awkward, but by going to courthouse to do a marriage does it make it somewhat official?

Please help me out by answering this for me? My boyfriend comes home in about 2 weeks so I would like an answer as soon as possible.

Go get your license, make an appointment with the judge, get married

I'm getting married in 11 days, in a courhouse, and I just looked up register of deeds where I live. I can apply online for the marriage license. It gives you all the info you need. Congrats and good luck
