    Toilet issue
    recently we have noticed that our toilet has been leaking around the base of the toilet , not being a much of a handyman but don't like paying to have someone do it , is this an easy fix or should i just have to pay ?????
    mind you it does not leak much

    Any moisture coming from the base is unacceptable. First off, check the closet bolts holding the bowl down. If they are loose or the bowl can be moved snug them up. NOTICE I said snug not crank down. Do not over tighten as china is brittle and will crack under pressure. Snug up the closet bolts, wipe the moisture off and let me know if it helps. Regards. Tom

    Are you sure the toilet is actually leaking? Oftentimes, in hot, humid summer weather, the toilet tank will get condensation on it, because the outside of the tank is still nice and cold. When I was growing up, it would get so bad in our house that there would be pools of water around the toilet. We took to wrapping a towel around the base of the toilet, and changing it every couple of days.
