If the victim refuses to testify and all the evidence they have is a signed confession by the accused.. can the court be dismissed? Or would a guy still get charged for battery by the state?

P.S. Im 16 and my boyfriend is 20... we're in IL... we've been arrested for something else but they interrogated him and he admitted it having sex with me.. however I never provided any evidence and denied it.. is there a chance that the case would be dismissed?
