    Starting problems
My 88 prelude 2.0 si 4ws is having
    Problems starting. Started about a
Week ago, turns over just fine has
Spark but no gas. Then 15 min go by I
Try again and it started. Couple days
Later same thing but took little longer.
Next day, again! This time a buddy told
Me that the line could be frozen and
To add a pint of rubbing alcohol to
Thaw it . And within 10 secs it started
Right up. Couple more times of that
Way worked and now won't get any
Gas to the filter. So what do you think
Would be the issue-----the line is frozen
(it gets very cold during the nights
Here), the fuel pump, or a relay??
    Please help. Thank you

First guess is you have water in the fuel lines. Get some gas line anti freeze and use it. Should use it every tank full in the winter to prevent water in the tank/lines. If that does not work, then change the fuel filter. Last resort is the fuel pump. Are you sure that the e switch has not tripped??

    E switch on 88 prelude
What and where would the "e" switch be located and how to fix.

What problem are you having exactly? I've never heard of an "e" switch.

If there isn't any fuel getting to the filter, that means the pump isn't working properly. Have you checked the fuses and relay to the pump to make sure they're good and properly functioning? Another slight possibility is that the wiring back to the pump could have gotten damaged, but usually it's just the pump itself that quits.

I think what 450donn meant by "e switch" is the inertia switch; it's a switch in newer vehicles which cuts off the fuel supply if the vehicle is rear-ended, rolls over, etc. Anything hard enough to jostle the switch will stop the fuel; I don't believe they had them in an '88 Honda, though.
