Since my sister disappeared, what about inheritance?
My sister disappeared in October. She has a second husband whom was in the process of divorcing her and two sons by another father. She received an annuity from our stepmother which wasn't part of the will. My brother and I felt slighted, since the second husband was in charge of stepmom's annuity since 1984 and we felt our dad wanted the annuity split among his three kids. Now that she is gone, do I have any legal rights to the annuity? I don't even know if she left a will.

What is the wording on the annuity? There should be a beneficiary clause. It appears to me that her children would come before you when it comes to an inheritance.

I'd also wait until she's declared dead before I started dividing up her estate.

She disappeared and your concern is the will?
