    How to manually open garage
My garage door opener is stuck it will not open all the way. It acts like it is locked when I try to pull up manually. It slams close when I release the manual pull to close. How can I get my cars out-i got to go to work!! Help??

You should be able to pull the rope release and pull to full up position, if not check for binding, rollers, track.
Then to close, you will have to manually pull down, being careful to not let it slam and damage yourself or door further.
What does the operator do, and what type?

I don't know what type of automatic door openers are common where you are, but in Australia the most common type of 'rolladoor' has a lever attached to the motor. You can pull this lever out to disengage it from a locating pin, then rotate the lever to move the motor gears away from the drive drum. This then allows you to roll the door up and down manually because the motor gears are disengaged.

If you do this, don't forget to lock the door manually (i.e. with the key) when you leave home, so intruders can't enter!
