I'm not sure what you're trying to do with the regimen -- except possibly make your hair "healthy" (an impossibility since hair isn't "alive" -- no blood supply). If your hair is already badly damaged, the excessive shedding may be due to the damaged ends breaking off. I can't see how your regimen is causing breakage so that's what I have to assume.

It could be that the weight of the oil in the hair is causing breakage of already-damaged ends.
