    Pregnant? Spotting and missed period.
My husband and I have sex regularly and I have been on the pill for almost 3 three years and never miss. My period has always come and gone like clockwork.
I had my last period December 9th and we've had sex very frequently before and after that time. About 2 weeks after my period had left I had some bright red spotting. This lasted a bit over a week off and on. My period which was due the next week never came. I feel fine though overall. I can imagine symptoms. I have had an increased appetite, backaches for a few days, feeling sick to my stomach for a few days here and there, I took a home pregnancy test when my period did not come (from the dollar store) and it came back negaitive. Just looking for some advice. Thanks!!

Even though it is common to imagine symptoms of pregnancy, I will advise you to take another test. I had a situation where I was experiencing pregnancy symptoms and I had took a test and it came back negative. I even gotten my period back. But I was pregnant and I had a miscarriage. So take another test just to be sure. Or make a doctors appointment because it might be too early to tell. Hope this helps.

It is possible to get pregnant on the pill, so I advise taking another test and do not continue with the pill until you find out for sure.

In my experience, Dollar Store tests are accurate, but not necessarily as sensitive as more expensive brands. When I was pregnant the last time a Dollar Store test was very faintly positive but another brand taken at the same time had a very strong, dark line. Its possible you are pregnant and tested too early... its also positive you're not pregnant and this just happens to be a strange cycle.

Good luck to you either way!
