Is there and easy step by step procedures for replacing transaxle on craftsman riding mower model # 536.270270?

There might be a step by step procedure. But, if you are mechanically inclined they are pretty easy to change. I believe there are only six bolts mounting the transaxle, then the belt, shift and brake linkages. That's about it.

    Hi,
You have a Craftsman/Murray rear engine rider. It is actually made by AYP and uses a varactor(variable speed - AYP's name for it) which complicates the matter a bit. I have the breakdown, and am studying it to see if I can "walk" you through it. Have not done anything to this model other than other repairs(the electrical system is nonstandard.)
    Peace,
    Clarke
