Hi, doing my partners tax return again. Rental losses carried forward from 2007 but as no rental income to declare this year how do I ensure losses are still carried forward. Help appreciated!

If you are doing a partnership return and do NOT know if you can carry forward rental losses, then you should NOT be doing the partnership return. Get professional tax help!

If your are doing an individual tax return for your partner, rental losses CANNOT be carried forward from one year to the next UNLESS passive income rules apply. Again, if you do not know this, you should NOT be doing the tax return. Get professional tax help!
