    Whirlpool Electric Dryer shutting off
    My dryer is shutting off before the cycle is complete. It will start up right away, run for about five minutes then shut off again. I have tried it in bith the Automatic cycle and the Timed cycle with the same results from both. The Model number for the dryer is LER5636JQ0. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Clean the lint filter.

    I have cleaned the filter and removed the chute and cleaned it out also.

    Your drier is full of dirt. See: https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/go/explore.php?do=showthread&sort=newest&t=585065 for directions on what to do. Go to YouTube to see how to clean it, but I always go further and wash out parts to keep it from building up dirt so fast. DrTom4444
